1. This website
This website is operated by Lex Nexus Partners, a law firm practising in Pakistan, at Chamber No.1, Ground Floor, Saeeda Manzil, 3 Fane Road, Lahore. By using the site you accept these terms.
2. The content is not legal advice
Everything on this site is general information about the firm and the areas it is instructed in. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for advice, and it must not be relied on in place of advice taken on your own facts. The law changes, and pages here may not reflect the most recent position.
3. Using this site does not make us your advocates
Sending an enquiry through this site, or emailing an address published on it, does not create a relationship of advocate and client. That relationship begins only when the firm has run a conflict check, confirmed in writing that it accepts your instructions, and agreed the scope of the work and the basis of the fee with you.
4. Do not send confidential material before we act
Until the firm has accepted your instructions in writing, material you send is not protected as a communication between advocate and client. Please keep a first enquiry brief and do not send documents, evidence or anything time-sensitive with it. A limitation period will not stop running because an enquiry has been sent.
Ordinary email is not a secure medium. The firm cannot guarantee that a message sent to it, or from it, will not be intercepted or altered in transit.
5. Availability and accuracy
The site is provided as it stands. The firm does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of error, and accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on its content, to the extent the law allows that liability to be excluded.
6. Intellectual property
The text, marks, drawings and layout of this site belong to the firm or are used with permission. They may be read and printed for your own reference. They may not be republished or used commercially without the firm’s written consent.
7. Links to other sites
Where this site links to another, the link is for convenience. The firm does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content.
8. Regulation
The advocates of the firm are enrolled with the relevant Bar Council and practise subject to the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act 1973 and the rules made under it, including the rules of professional conduct and etiquette. Nothing on this site is intended as advertisement, solicitation or an inducement to instruct the firm.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts at Lahore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
10. Changes
These terms may be amended. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last reviewed.
